WITH WIND AND WATER IN GDYNIA
From 31 July to 2 August the city of Gdynia will host the 10th WIND and WATER Boat Show on Water. The most beautiful yachts, luxurious motorboats, the fastest jet skis, modern yachting and motorboat equipment will be exhibited for four days in Marina Gdynia.
The main aim of WIND and WATER in Gdynia is to promote the idea of sea sailing and water sports, while giving the enthusiasts of water-based recreation an opportunity to assess the quality of yachts, motorboats and sports equipment in their natural environment – on water.
This year’s edition of the Boat Show will be record-breaking in many respects. We will see offers of 137 companies from Poland and abroad (Germany, Ukraine, the Czech Republic). Nearly 120 yachts and boats will be presented in the Gdynia yacht harbour, including many shown for the first time, making their debut appearance at the vessels market. The yachts and boats presented at the Boat Show will include both vessels worth several thousand zlotys and large luxurious boats worth millions.
As usual, in the Marina in Gdynia we will see the offer of the Polish yacht yard Galeon. The top hit of this year and the biggest boat presented in Gdynia will be Galeon Crystal 780 – the flagship model, which shows off the abilities of its producer in term of technology, design and quality of detail work. The beautiful line of the ‘crystal’ yacht was designed with great care to ensure extraordinary spaciousness and comfort on the whole vessel. We will also see other impressive boats produced by Galeon: 550 Fly, 445 Hts, 430 Htc, 430 Skydeck, 420 Fly, 405 Htl, 385 Hts, 325 Hts and 305 Open.
The internationally recognized yacht yard Delphia Yachts Kot will present Maxi 1200, designed by the legendary Swedish yacht constructor Pelle Petterson. Maxi 1200 debuted at this year’s boat show in Düsseldorf. In Poland it will be presented for the first time. Maxi 1200 is a yacht of an elegant and dynamic style, designed specifically for fast tourism. Delphia’s offer also includes motor yachts: Nautika 1300 and the newer Nautika 1100S, a fully planing cruiser, with a displacement option for rivers and canals.
Parker Poland, which has been conquering European markets for the last several years, will as always display a wide range of watercrafts. Apart from the traditional motor boats, they will show hybrid RIBs – the company’s specialty. Parker Poland’s offer will also include electrical devices, engines and accessories.
Another broad array of motor boats can be found at the stand of Power Boats Poland. Their exposition, both on water and on land, will include: two Beneteaus, four US Cobalt Boats and four Sea Ray Boats.
One of the attractions of the Boat Show will be the latest Dehler 46, a beautiful and slender tourist and racing yacht. It will be presented by Horyzont from Szczecin, which will also display the typical sea tourist yacht Hanse 575.
Dobre Jachty will present an attractive vessel for racing and tourism – Sun Fast 3600 and an elegant cruiser – Jeanneau 349. There will also be boats with mechanic propulsion, among them the popular Merry Fisher motor boats, Cap Camarat and the motor yacht NC 11.
Ellite Yachts Poland will present Italian-design motor boats: Cranchi Endurance 33 and, for the first time in Poland, the impressive M44 HT cruiser.
We also recommend the exposition by Taurus Sea Power, including motor boats, propulsion systems and jet skis, for example Sea-Doo SAR, the only rescue jet ski in Poland.
In the tent halls positioned on the waterside you will find expositions of companies offering sailing and motorboat accessories, navigation, safety and rescue equipment, as well as tourist and sports clothing. Organizers of charters and races and professional media will also be present at the event.
The WIND and WATER Boat Show in Gdynia is not just about what the exhibitors want to present to the public – it also includes many other attractions related to water sports. For the entire duration of the Boat Show there will be rescue shows and presentations of various water sports in the marina. On Thursday and Friday (30 and 31 July) the Boat Show will host a special guest – Aleksander Doba, the first man to cross the Atlantic twice in a kayak and the winner of this year’s title Traveller of the Year awarded by “National Geographic”. On Saturday, there will be an opportunity to learn how to take care of safety on water and how to behave in an emergency, as well as how to provide first aid, what emergency equipment should be taken onboard a yacht, how to use it and how to help a person out of the water. Also on Satuday, you can meet Kpt. Krzysztof Baranowski, a great voyager, who has sailed nearly a quarter million miles on various waters, the author of the idea of the ships Pogoria and Fryderyk Chopin and the initiator of their construction, the creator of the “School under Sails”, who writes about his passion – sailing, his adventures and experiences, in his books and handbooks. On Sunday, you can watch a regatta of radio-controlled yachts. Nice ambience during the whole Boat Show will be ensured by famous jazzmen: Leszek Dranicki, Piotr Lemańczyk and Piotr Nadolski, as part of the concert cycle ”Jazz in the Marina”.
For the sixth time, the WIND and WATER Boat Show on Water will include the ceremony of the President of the City of Gdynia Award closing the GDYNIA YACHT DESIGN competition, announced specially for the Fair.
